Friday 1st July 2022 was the weekend that Spen Valley Scouts & Guides came together at Fanwood for the Annual Field Day Weekend.
The camp was return to camping as a district following the last two years missing due to Covid-19. The weekend was different to usual as the traditional parade and side stalls were scrapped in favour of an activity day. The Brownies/Beavers and Cubs all decended on Fanwood during the Saturday for a day of activities and crafts. Saturday afternoon several VIP’s arrived onsite for the official handover of the porch and leaders room at FHTC including our local MP and West Yorkshire Scouts County President Kim Leadbeater.
Overall a great weekend and all the young people enjoyed the weekend.
