Four of the Spen Valley 25th World Scout Jamboree 2023 contingent welcomed some of the sponsors this morning to officially open the community orchard in Gomersal.
Everyone one enjoyed coffee & cake at Listing Mill Farm, then headed up across the fields to the public footpath which is now lined with 90+ fruit trees & surrounded by wild flowers. The trees were planted in December & are already bearing fruit.
Thank you to all sponsors who’s donations helped Renton, Zack, Alex, Imogen & Jamie go to South Korea earlier this month as part of the WY Scouts Jamboree Unit, (Unit 44 – The Yorkshire Puds & Unit 45 T’ Flat Cappers)
