We are thrilled to announce the launch of the brand new Beaver Colony in Spen Valley. Spen Valley (West) Beavers – based in Scholes!
What makes this colony truly special is that it’s a historic collaboration between the 3rd Spen Valley and the 14th Spen Valley – making Spen Valley (West) Beavers the first joint colony in our district, and possibly even within the West Yorkshire Scouts County! Talk about making waves!
On Monday, 26th February, history was made as we witnessed the investiture of the very first Beavers into this fantastic new colony. The energy and enthusiasm were palpable as the young members embarked on their scouting journey.
We were honored to have West Yorkshire Scouts ACC (Beavers), Sam, join us for this momentous occasion. His presence, along with the GSLs from the 14th and 3rd, and the Trustee Board Chair of the 3rd Spen Valley, added an extra special touch to the event.
It was a true testament to the power of collaboration and community spirit. Seeing everyone come together to support the growth and development of our young members fills us with immense pride.
As we embark on this new adventure, we are filled with excitement for the countless memories, friendships, and learning experiences that lie ahead for the Spen Valley (West) Beavers. Here’s to many more adventures together!
